Sun Enters Aries Tarot Emperor

Tarot Emperor Tarot Emperor is depicted as pharaoh of Ancient Egypt. Lord of both worlds, Upper and Lower Egypt, symbolized by the plants of these two regions, the lotus and the papyrus. Metaphysically these two worlds are the seen and unseen, the conscious and the subconscious. For  a deeper understanding of the cards take time to consider what is occurring in the natural world when the Sun enters Aries. Translate this astrological phenomena as a metaphor to discern its meaning regarding your question. Interpretation must come from within oneself through listening to one’s own inner voice. Tarot Tower Explained

Tarot Tower Explained The Tower is destroyed from within and not from without.  It symbolizes that we have reached the point in our journey where we have the courage to transcend the false idea we have of ourselves, the Tower.  Escaping it we release who we truly are and see the Tower for what it is, an eidolon. The Nightside

Qlippoth An Alternative View Of The Nightside There is a common belief in certain circles that there are two QBL Trees of Life: the Light or Dayside Tree and the Dark or Nightside Tree.  The Light Tree, fig 1, and the Dark Tree, fig 2 (fig 1 inverted). When displayed together they are often arranged as in fig 3. There is an argument for this, but, we might also consider that when we understand all is perspective, we then realize there is only one Tree. When a body is alive, the four worlds of the QBL are engaged together like gears […]

Chimera Update New Paintings

Chimera Update:  New Paintings The Chimera exhibition features several new paintings, including the triptych “Fall, Paradise Is For Those Who Do What They Are Told”, a work composed of three 8 foot by 4 foot oil on wood panels. The paintings explore the concept of the “Fall” from three perspectives, Gnosticism, Greek mythology and Shamanism. It interprets and reveals the occult message of the “Fall” concept as a communication of opportunity and self-empowerment to those who can see beyond appearances, as opposed to the traditional view of eternal pain and damnation for not doing what you are told to do by others. Tarot Card Meanings Our Inner Voice

Tarot Card Meanings Tarot is one of man’s techniques of attempting to put order and rhythm into what appears to be our chaotic and unpredictable lives. As a species, we have a desire for safety and order which is why our minds are impelled to seek patterns in what is perceived as chaos; images seen in clouds or undergrowth are examples. The images we are presented with are generally what we need to see. In divination, we are challenged to see the reasons why we are where we are and what we need to do to move forward. The answers […]

Tarot Moon an Explanation

Tarot Moon Tarot Moon oil on canvas The path of the Moon from Tarot of the Morning Star. The path of the moon represents our magic mirror/sphere of sensation, where we see reflected the world behind the world.  It is the astral realm that is the structure upon which the fabric of the world of our senses hangs. Through cleansing our sphere of sensation, our sense of perception, we can create our universe as we choose to see it. The path is guarded by two wolves, Wep-wawet and Anubis, deities from ancient Egyptian belief whose titles offer a key to what […]

An Explanation on the Design of the Lovers Major Arcana Tarot Card

Lovers from Tarot of the Morning Star Inspiration for my depiction of the Lovers card came in part from Paolo Uccello’s  painting of Saint George and the Dragon. On first view, of Paolo Uccello’s painting it appears the male hero is liberating the maiden from the dragon.  However, on closer scrutiny,  it can be seen that the maiden holds and leads the dragon by the chain around its neck.  The dragon is not her jailor but her pet. The maiden is the symbolic stimulus for overcoming fear for she inflames the hero to action liberating him from what holds him back as […]
