Tarot Judgment
For tarot Judgment, I have used the climax of the Cain and Abel story as the image for my interpretation of the tarot card Judgment because it illustrates the moment of taking an irreversible step by an action made or a word spoken that can never be taken back. The card reminds us that we need to think before we act or speak.

Cain has become aware and is a decision maker. By taking life into his own hands, he is no longer dependent on God, Gods or the whims of nature. Through his action, Cain has become resurrected as an empowered and accountable individual. Accountability is the mark he wears.Â
Lord Byron’s poem “Cain”, views Cain as symbolic of a sanguinary temperament, provoked by Abel’s hypocrisy and sanctimony. Cain slays his brother with the jaw bone of an ass. The ass is an animal associated with the Ancient Egyptian God Set who is a god of the desert, outsiders and dynamic change.
