In the Lair of Tiresias

In the Lair of Tiresias “In the Lair of Tiresias”, an original oil on plywood painting, 48 x 48 inches, 2024. Prometheus Cain and Wrath of God My painting Prometheus Cain and the Wrath of God looks at the mythological dynamic from two perspectives.  It illustrates the phenomenon of enlightenment being shared prior to the punishment being executed. From the Greek perspective, it is the agent of enlightenment to man, Prometheus, who is the one suffering the wrath of the Gods. In the Jewish/Christian philosophy, it is the receiver of enlightenment, Eve, who suffers the wrath of God. I currently have two pieces on display at the University of Minnesota Bio Medical Lab Library as part of the Avivo exhibition To Really See. Show closes on Monday August 13th, 2018 Overview This run with the University of Minnesota presents over thirty pieces of art. It shows at the Bio-Medical Library until August 13th, 2018.
